Cozombie Privacy Policy

Cozombie Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026

1. About this policy

Cozombie is an offline gardening game developed by M2M1 Tech. This policy explains how the app handles information, including local saves, Android backup and optional email support.

For privacy questions or requests, contact development@m2m1.sbs.

2. Information used and stored on your device

Cozombie stores game progress locally so you can continue playing after closing the app. Its save contains separate Story Garden and Free Garden progress, including:

• Plants in each plot, growth stages and watering status.
• Turns, remaining actions and harvested inventory.
• Accepted and completed visitor requests, chapter progress and practice rounds.
• Requests pinned in the planning notebook.
• Earned decorations and their shelf positions.
• Tutorial progress, undo information and chapter checkpoints.
• Each garden’s journal of its last ten recorded game actions.
• Selected garden mode and language, reduced-motion, sound and haptic preferences.

The notebook records selections from fictional game requests; it is not a free-text personal notebook.

On Android, the app keeps a current save and a previous valid save for recovery in its private application storage. Both contain garden state and preferences. Successful changes are saved immediately. The garden does not advance while you are away.

The app reads your device’s language and animation setting to select an initial language and respect reduced motion. It uses device audio and haptic features for optional feedback. Local operation failures may produce technical error messages in Android’s system log. The app does not automatically send these logs to M2M1 Tech.

3. Collection and use

Ordinary gameplay does not send your garden progress or preferences to M2M1 Tech. The current app has no accounts, advertising, analytics, in-app payments, remote crash-reporting service or feature telemetry.

The garden does not access your contacts, location, photos, camera, microphone or advertising identifier. Its stored information is used to operate the game, remember preferences, display progress and recent actions, and recover a previous save when necessary.

4. Internet access and the terms component

The Android app declares the INTERNET permission. It also contains a WebView component configured to load an external terms page. In the current implementation, startup opens the garden directly, and the garden interface does not provide a route to that component. The external terms page is therefore inactive during normal play.

The garden itself works offline and has no application-operated cloud-save or synchronization service. The Internet permission does not mean that garden data is uploaded.

5. Sharing, libraries and Android backup

The current garden implementation does not transmit gameplay information to third parties or contain advertising, analytics, payment or tracking SDKs. It uses Kotlin, Compose, AndroidX and coroutine libraries for application functionality.

Android backup is allowed by the app’s configuration. Depending on your device, Android version and backup settings, the operating system may copy app data, including garden saves and preferences, to its configured backup service or transfer it during device migration. This is separate from the app’s local recovery copy. Backup storage, transfers, restoration and deletion depend on your operating system and backup provider. M2M1 Tech does not operate that backup service.

If you contact us by email, email providers process the message as part of delivering and storing correspondence.

6. Email support

If you email development@m2m1.sbs, we receive your email address, any sender name included with the message, and the message contents and attachments you choose to send. This information is used to respond to your support question or privacy request.

Contacting support is optional. The app does not automatically upload your garden save or diagnostic logs to support. Include only information relevant to your request.

7. Retention and deletion

Local saves remain on your device until they are replaced or the app’s stored data is removed. The recovery file is updated with a previous valid save as changes are saved. Current journals retain up to ten entries per garden; recovery saves and saved checkpoints can retain earlier game state.

Settings offers a Free Garden reset and a restart of the current Story Garden chapter. These affect the selected game progress and do not erase all app data. Preferences and the other garden remain, and the recovery copy may still contain earlier progress.

To remove both gardens, preferences and the local recovery copy, clear Cozombie’s storage through Android’s app settings or uninstall the app. Settings labels vary by device. Copies held by Android backup may remain separately and may restore progress after reinstallation or device migration; manage those copies through your device or backup provider’s controls.

M2M1 Tech cannot remotely erase saves stored only on your device. You can request deletion of support correspondence by emailing development@m2m1.sbs. Contact us if you have questions about the retention of a support message.

8. Security

Android saves are stored in the app’s private storage, subject to Android’s access protections. The app uses atomic writes, save validation and a recovery copy to reduce the risk of incomplete or corrupted saves. These measures protect save integrity; the app does not add encryption to its save files.

Ordinary garden play does not transmit gameplay data. Protection of any system backup or support email depends on the relevant operating system and service providers. This policy does not guarantee encryption for those services or absolute security for stored information.

9. Browser preview

The browser preview stores its own current save and recovery copy in browser local storage, separately from Android saves. It reads browser language and reduced-motion preferences for presentation. Clear the preview’s site data in your browser to remove these local saves. Browser storage remains subject to browser settings and clearing behavior.

10. Children’s privacy

The current game does not ask for a player’s age or identity and does not collect personal information through ordinary gameplay. Its local saving behavior applies to all players, and it has no accounts, player messaging, advertising or tracking features.

If a child sends personal information through a support email, a parent or guardian can contact development@m2m1.sbs to request deletion of that correspondence.

11. Policy changes and contact

This policy may be revised to reflect changes to Cozombie or its data practices. The date accompanying a revised policy will identify its revision. You can contact us with questions about the current policy or to make a privacy request.
